The email address on your sceen account.
Your device and iOS version.
What happened, and what you expected to happen. A screenshot helps.

Never send us a verification code or your full phone number.

Text messages and phone verification

sceen sends a text message only when you are signed in and ask to link a phone number so friends can find you. Linking a number is optional. The text contains a one-time verification code, like this:

Your sceen verification code is 123456. Reply STOP to opt out.

How often: only when you request a code. If you ask for the code to be sent again, we send it again. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
Cost: message and data rates may apply.
Where: US and Canadian phone numbers.
Stop texts: reply STOP to the sceen number. Reply START or UNSTOP to receive texts again. After STOP you will not receive verification codes until you do.
Help: reply HELP to the sceen number, or use this page.
Late or missing code: a code expires 10 minutes after it is first sent, and asking for it again does not extend that. A text can occasionally arrive after that time. If it does, or it never arrives, request a new code in the app.

We use your number to verify it and to help friends find you, not as a way to sign in. We send the text only to the number you entered. We do not send the numbers in your contacts to our text-message provider. sceen does not sell personal information, including phone numbers. Your phone number and contacts

In the app, open Settings, then Friend discovery. Sharing your contacts and letting people find you by your number are separate choices.

Your number: you can stop friends finding you by your number while keeping it saved, or remove the number.
Your contacts: you can remove the contacts shared from one device, or disconnect all contacts, which deletes everything you have shared. People you follow stay followed. Signing out or deleting the app does not remove shared contacts; disconnect to delete them.
You can also change sceen’s access to Contacts in the iOS Settings app.
If the app tells you that you have reached a limit on linking a number, email us.

Your account and data

You can delete your account from Settings in the app. The Privacy Policy explains what happens next and how to make privacy requests, which go to privacy@sceenapp.com. For anything else about your account or data, email support@sceenapp.com.
